In celebration of National Bike to Work Day, Las Positas students, instructors, and College President Kevin Walthers will be riding from downtown Livermore to Las Positas College. Sponsors of this event are the LPC Students' Organization for Sustainability (SOS) and Livermore Cyclery.

We will meet at 7:30 AM at Livermore Cyclery (2752 1st Street, Livermore, CA, (925) 455-8090). There is no need to sign up. We will take a few pictures and chat and then leave about 7:45 AM. It's exactly 3 miles to campus from there. It should take about 20-30 minutes. This is not a race and we won't leave anyone behind! If you prefer to ride from your home, please join us at the top of Campus Hill Road and the Loop Road.

When we get to campus we will meet at the top of the hill on the corner of Campus Hill Road and the Loop Road. Livermore Cyclery will have a tent set up there from 8 AM - noon. There will be juice and healthy snacks provided by the campus and a few give-aways provided by others.

The ride back to Livermore is downhill! If you live farther, you can drive with your bike in/on your car and leave your car down by Livermore Cyclery, or you can take a bus with your bike. The Livermore Transit Center is right next to the bike shop
